In The Community

I like to think that I am more that just a mortgage broker. I was born and raised in Lynn Valley and I love this community.  Because I live and work here, I want to make sure I am giving back to and supporting my community.

I am a Director of the Lynn Valley Community association which is a great group of local people dedicated to working for the benefit of the community since the LVCA was first established in 1911.  They are a non-political group of over 100 volunteers whose objectives are to:

  • Foster and develop community pride

  • Encourage involvement in community development

  • Influence decisions in our neighbourhood and community

Some of the great events they put on are Lynn Valley Days and the amazing Valleyfest during the Olympics in 2010.

I support the local schools and this year I started an education seminar for grade 12 students at Argyle High School.  I teach each grad class about money, credit and the cost of living on your own.  This is so much fun and I wish someone had taught me this info when I was in grade 12.

Being an independant business person has its perks but at times you need support.  With that in mind four years ago I founded the Fast Forward Group.  This is a Northshore based Entrepreneurial Network of Twenty local business owners who meet once a week to mentor each other and to build referral business.  This has been a huge success.  Click here to see our blog.

Dave has arranged 2 mortgages for me in the last year and I was very impressed with his professionalism . Each time Dave was very efficient dealing with all the necessary paperwork and found me the best deals available. I would not hesitate in recommending his services.
